Graeme is a highly respected, internationally experienced Chairman, NED & CEO. With over 40 years’ senior executive experience across the Metals, Mining, Energy, Logistics, and Industrial Services sectors, he has a long track record of successful leadership and shareholder value creation through performance improvement, organic growth, and successful M & A.
He is the Founder and Chairman of G.P Hunt Associates Pty Ltd a Melbourne based company providing a Strategic Advisory service and a Chairman/CEO perspective to a select group of clients.Graeme is Chairman of BIS Industries Ltd a private equity controlled mining and industrial logistics business and is a Director of the Future Battery Industry Collaborative Research Centre. He was the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of AGL Energy Ltd, Australia’s largest vertically integrated Electricity and Gas Utility during 2021-2022, having joined AGL as a NED in 2012 and served as Chairman from 2016-2021. Graeme stepped away from AGL when the proposed demerger of the company which was designed to both unlock shareholder value and accelerate decarbonisation was blocked by Mike Canon Brookes’ Grok Ventures $650m investment in the company.

During the period 2012 to 2016 Graeme was the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Transfield Services Ltd (later renamed Broadspectrum) an ASX listed industrial services company with 30,000 employees across operations throughout ANZ, the Americas, Asia Pacific, India, and the Middle East. He was previously Managing Director and CEO of Lihir Gold Ltd. His role came to an end with the successful completion of the $25B merger with Newcrest Mining Company Limited in 2010. Prior to the Lihir role Graeme spent over 30 years with BHP Ltd. where he held multiple senior executive positions with global responsibility including: President Uranium & Olympic Dam Development, President Aluminium, President Iron Ore and President Manganese.
