In her current role as Head of Sustainable Investment, Australia, Rena is responsible for the development and execution of the global sustainable investment strategy and its application in the context of Australia. Working in close partnership with the Client Solutions and Strategy Team, she advises on investor and market expectations and supporting client engagement on sustainability related matters. Rena leads the Sustainable Investment team in Australia and is a member of IFM's Global Leadership Team.

In her prior role as Global Head of Business Development, Rena was responsible for developing a global fundraising strategy and collaborating with the regional Client Solutions teams on local implementation. Before relocating to Sydney, Australia in September 2021, Rena worked with IFM Investors' New York office, where she joined the firm in April 2012 as Director, Business Development, supporting IFM's fundraising and investor relations in North America prior to her promotion to Global Head of Business Development in July 2019.

Prior to joining IFM in April 2012, Rena was Principal, Investor Relations with Ares Management LLC where she was responsible for developing and executing the firm's investor relations program for their commercial real estate debt group. Prior to Ares, Rena was a Managing Director with Macquarie Group, leading the tax structuring of their real estate fund investments in North America and Europe. Earlier in her career, Rena worked at Ernst & Young conducting audit, tax, accounting and compliance engagements for their entrepreneurial clients.

Rena has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and a Bachelor of Business from the University of Wollongong, Australia. She was previously a chartered accountant in Australia.
