Philip is a lawyer and senior executive at IPH Limited. IPH Limited is an ASX 200 company that has grown from a single IP professional services business which has been listed on the ASX in 2014 to a group valued at approximately $2bn, including by means of more than ten acquisitions in Australia, New Zealand, China, HK PRC and Canada. This included the 2019 acquisition of listed IP group XIP, and most recently the c.$400m acquisition of Smart & Biggar in Canada. IPH is now operating intellectual property professional services firms in nine countries across the Asia-Pacific region and Canada.
As Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, and as a member of the board of each business forming part of the group, Philip has been integrally involved in these transactions and the operation of these businesses, as well overseeing the development and operations of the group's governance, risk and compliance and ESG functions. He has 30 years of experience as a solicitor and governance professional, in private practice and in-house, with experience in a broad range of areas of law including corporate and commercial, competition, ICT, intellectual property, and litigation.
Most importantly, Philip also has a role supporting his son, Patrick Heuzenroeder, a young Australian racing driver as he takes on the British F4 by FIA racing championship series in 2023 and looks to build his career in Europe.
