Matt Chilcott is CEO of Deswik, a global software company focussed on mining engineering, survey, geology, geotechnical and environmental toolsets. Matt joined Deswik just over 10 years ago when the company was a single 20 person office. The company currently has about 350 employees across 14 offices globally and recently entered into an agreement to be sold to a large multinational. This sale is particularly significant in the Brisbane tech space and its a great achievement for a bootstrapped company.

Prior to Deswik, Matt has been involved in starting, growing and managing a number of IT related businesses. He gets great fulfillment from building teams and being heavily involved in the early stage growth phase of businesses and setting them up for long term sustainability.

Matt holds an Engineering degree and MBA and has extensive experience in IT and professional services. He currently has no life outside of work but is working on it.
