Matt joined boutique tier-one construction company, Roberts Co in February 2023 as CEO.

Prior to Roberts Co, Matt was the NSW/ACT GM of John Holland Building for four years. Matt’s tenure saw John Holland re-establish itself as a leading builder in NSW including the successful delivery of several major projects such as the recent Sydney Football Stadium Redevelopment (Allianz Stadium) and lead the successful strategy to re-enter several market sectors including major health and medical projects.

Prior to John Holland, Matt enjoyed a 24-year career at AW Edwards Pty Limited. Developing from an undergraduate site cadet to an Associate Director.

A relationship-driven leader; Matt is passionate about the future of construction. Specifically, diversity, technology, and ensuring the growth of all those around him. A Customer-focused and visionary senior executive with 28+ years of experience leading innovation and setting precedence within the commercial construction (tier 1 and tier 2) sector.

Matt is on the Industry Advisory Board for the Bachelor of Construction Management at the University of Technology, Sydney and enjoys involvement in several other industry bodies.
Matt has received several awards as a Project Manager including National AIB Professional of the Year in 2009.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Building (Construction Management) from UTS and a Global Executive MBA from the University of Sydney.
