Mari Ruiz-Matthyssen was appointed Chief People Experience & Marketing Officer of Australia
Pacific Airports Corporation (APAC) in October 2018. In this capacity Mari is responsible for all
People Experience (PX) functions that deliver a number of initiatives to champion and drive
cultural transformation. In her Marketing remit, Mari is responsible for general marketing and
brand, social media, and event management. APAC is the owner and operator of Melbourne and
Launceston Airports, with an enterprise value in excess of $6 billion.

Mari has extensive commercial experience as a CPX&MO spanning more than 30 years across multiple
industries and geographies including banking & finance, telecommunications, professional services,
logistics and aviation. She brings a wealth of expertise in creating high performance teams
through a values-led approach to organisational culture.

Mari currently sits on the Board of Launceston Airport, and has been a recipient of many HR awards,
including finalist of the Australian HR Awards HR Director of the Year 2021, the CEO Magazine HR
Executive of the Year Award 2017 and the AHRI Dave Ulrich HR Leader Award 2017.
