Kate has more than 20 years in-house and private law practice experience gained working for corporate and top tier law firms in Melbourne and London.

In her current role as Chief Legal Officer for Toll Group, she reports directly to the Managing Director and is a critical member of the Global executive leadership team, contributing to the strategic leadership of Toll.

Kate is responsible for managing all legal and compliance issues which arise in the business including corporate, potential M&A/JV transactions, commercial contracting, compliance, ESG, insurance and risk, and dispute resolution.

She provides leadership to a team of approximately 30 lawyers and 7 compliance professionals located in Australia, Asia and the US. Kate has extensive experience working with various internal and external stakeholders including the board, shareholders and external regulators.
Prior to joining Toll in 2018, Kate spent 17 years at Herbert Smith Freehills based in Australia and London.
