Damien is an experienced senior executive, having worked in leading organisations in a variety of industries including financial services, renewable energy, government, legal and education.

He has deep experience both locally and globally, leading large transformational projects, digital innovation, managing complex internal and external stakeholder relations and creating financial sustainability.

Damien is a highly skilled influencer, with networks at the highest level in industry and government, and is able to connect stakeholders and drive strategy development and implementation. He is a values-led leader who gets satisfaction from building high performing teams where people flourish professionally and personally.

He is a skilled relationship builder, passionate about team well-being and creating an environment where people feel they have the opportunities to progress.

In his current role, Damien has responsibility for strategy and business planning, financial management and increasing revenue. He leads a large and varied team to increase alumni engagement and philanthropic support to help students with scholarships and fund discoveries, education and research to benefit communities and have a global impact.

Prior to joining Monash, Damien worked in government relations at NAB and in corporate affairs / government relations at an ASX-listed renewable energy company.

Damien has served as Board Member and Director for a number of commercial and not for profit bodies including Xavier College Foundation, Monash University Indonesia, Advisory Board Member of Monash Institute for Health and Clinical Education, and Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA).

He graduated from Monash University, Australia with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) (majoring in politics).
