Julia Davison is a board member at Childcare Economic Opportunity Fund NSW and a non-executive director at Paul Ramsay Foundation, where she applies her executive and strategic leadership experience to support philanthropy, government investment and systems change. She has over 11 years of experience as the founding CEO of Goodstart Early Learning, Australia's largest early learning provider and a unique social enterprise with a turnover of $1.2 billion.
As the CEO of Goodstart, Julia led the creation and transformation of an organisation that operates more than 650 early learning centres, employs more than 15,000 staff, and serves 72,000 children and 60,000 families. She was a passionate advocate for investment in the early years, better access and high quality provision, and social inclusion and innovation.
She has been CEO of WorkCover SA where she led the reform and turnaround of the scheme and CEO of Flinders Medical Centre, a large Teaching Hospital. Julia has extensive senior management experience in the for purpose, health and public sectors in Australia and the UK, and a strong interest in advocacy and public policy, having completed a Masters in Public Administration at the Harvard Kennedy School.
Julia has held various non executive roles including Chair of Catherine House SA and the Girl Academy, Cape York Partnership. She has also been a non- executive director at TIO in the Northern Territory.
Most recently she has completed the INSEAD coaching program and is starting coach a small number of CEO’s and First Nations leaders.
