Matthew Beattie was appointed Chief Executive Officer, SIXT Australia in December 2021. SIXT is one of the largest car rental operators in Australia and also operates in over 110 countries globally. Prior to this, he was Managing Director, Car Rental from May 2020. Matthew joined the NRMA Group in 2011, holding roles in strategy and product development, B2B sales as well as leading technology projects in vehicle connectivity and the initial customer experience design of NRMA’s electric vehicle fast charging infrastructure. Matthew was the General Manager of NRMA MotorServe, a retail automotive servicing and repair business with 24 outlets across NSW and ACT. This role was also accountable for the retail and wholesale distribution of NRMA-branded automotive products such as batteries, car electrics and vehicle inspections.

Prior to joining the NRMA, Matthew held leadership roles at ANZ and ING Australia leading business transformation that was focused on developing platforms to enable self-service, automation and an enhanced customer experience.

Matthew holds a MBA and Masters of Management from Macquarie School of Business as well as Membership with the AICD.
