As the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the Victorian government. Shane was responsible for developing a cyber security strategy covering 340,000 staff or 8% of the Victorian workforce.

Based in the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet. Shane is responsible for guiding effective cyber risk management across the enterprise, while enabling digital transformation. With a technical history, Shane works across all levels of the business to technical risk and opportunity is understood at the strategic level to enable the enterprise to deliver on mission.

Shane is a strong advocate for diversification of the Cyber workforce and was recognised as a finalist “Male champion of change” by the Women in Security cyber awards.
