Sarah Goetze is the General Counsel at EML Payments Ltd.

I am an experienced Legal counsel with a demonstrated history in the fintech and financial services industry, with a focus on regulatory licensing, business establishment and compliance for innovative payment services in a range of jurisdictions including Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, the UK, South Africa, Canada, the USA and Mexico. 

I started my legal career at Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Melbourne in 2003 in the Corporate Advisory group, moving on to London and starting an in-house legal career from 2007. I have since worked for a range of corporates in the manufacturing, technology and payments industries in both London and Melbourne. 

Prior to joining Brisbane-based EML Payments in March of 2022 I spent 8 years at fintech Optal Limited, with responsibility for establishing its regulated financial services operations in a range of jurisdictions throughout APAC and the Americas.
