I am the CEO of MapAI. This company is a subsidiary of FrontierSI, and has been created to commercialise world leading research from FrontierSI and the University of NSW combining Generative AI with Location Analytics. More at https://mapai.net

I am on secondment from my role as the Deputy CEO at FrontierSI (formerly the CRC for Spatial Information). This role supports the CEO in providing high level strategic, cultural and managerial leadership to ensure the achievement of both operational and strategic goals. I also lead our Transformation and Growth business function, seeking out significant new problems across a range of industry sectors, and investing in the spatial solutions that will solve these.

Previously I lead our significant Research and Innovation portfolio of projects, including leading a diverse team of strategy specialists, researchers, data scientists developers, and project managers to formulate and deliver a wide variety of research, innovation and advisory projects to FrontierSI's many partners.

I lead the development of major strategic and transformational initiatives including the 2026 Spatial Industry Growth Agenda (www.2026agenda.com), and the Australian Livestock Spatial Innovation Program (www.crcsi.com.au/redmeat). In addition, I am the project director on multiple projects including Value Australia $8.5 million data analytics project, as well as the managing NRM Spatial Hub, which focuses on cattle graziers across Australia and has now spun out as Farm Map 4D.

I have a MBA from Melbourne Business School, and am a GIS Professional with 20 years experience across industry, research and government, through roles in consulting services, relationship management and project management. I have a background in GIS and imagery analysis working across a broad range of application industries, including urban planning, environmental engineering, inundation and flooding, transportation, land use change mapping, renewable energy and natural resource management. I was the recipient of the 2014 Young Professional of the Year award, and the 2018 SIBA Chairman's Award at the Asia Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards.
