Matthew is the managing director of UST, a digital transformation and management consultancy. Founded in California in 1999, UST has expanded into 30 countries with 35,000 staff, backed by the $400B Singapore private equity firm, Temasek.
Having successfully led some of the largest and most complex digital transformations across APAC, Matthew has proven his ability to align business objectives and technology investment with customer outcomes. His hands-on approach sees him regularly advising boards and CxOs on growth strategies and cost transformation, as well as innovation and technology investment.
Prior to joining UST, Matthew has worked as Cognizant’s consulting leader in APAC and Middle Eastern markets, and as the managing director for a private technology strategy firm.
In addition to his honour’s degree in psychology and anthropology, Matthew holds a master’s in international management and a master’s in business and IT strategy. Championing data driven, research-backed decision making for boards, Matthew leads UST’s research collaborations with both universities and advisory firms. His current research focus is on the changing nature of business in a hybrid world, and cost optimisation strategies.
Matthew has a range of current board interests, including the Board of Governors for the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham).
