Jacki Turfrey is a proud Palawa woman, who has lived and worked in Victoria for over 30 years. As Haven Home Safe’s Chief Business Services Officer, Jacki ensures our service areas are set-up to achieve greatest impact and leads the organisation’s risk appetite framework, implementing a modern risk culture and work practices.
As a practicing barrister, Jacki brings wide ranging experience to Haven Home Safe – from leading negotiations with the Yawuru Native Title Holders in WA, to establishing the Koori Women’s Diversion program during her time as Director of the Koori Justice Unit, Jacki was also CEO of Mallee District Aboriginal Services, leading the organisation through a major governance and financial reform agenda. Jacki was also Director for Treaty with Aboriginal Victoria and started the critical work that led to the establishment of the First People of Victoria Assembly. Jacki is currently on the Board of Directors for the Murray Primary Health Network.
