Brent is the CFO for the Melbourne Racing Club (MRC).

A commercially experienced Chief Financial Officer with over 20+ years of experience gained in Australia and the UK. Industry experience across the sport and hospitality, events, wagering and gaming, property, financial services, insurance, media and entertainment, mining and professional services sectors.

Brent has been at the MRC since 2013 and CFO since 2018. He is responsible for: Finance, IT, Procurement, Sustainability, the Project Management Office and Mergers and Acquisitions.

Prior to the MRC, Brent worked in London for ten years at a number of FTSE100 listed companies. He started his career in audit at KPMG. A commercially minded finance professional with extensive hands-on experience in leading finance teams and delivering across a broad range of areas including management and financial reporting, financial systems and controls, corporate finance (M&A), tax and treasury. “Big Four” trained, a 10-year plus qualified CPA and registered project manager with a strong technical accounting background and an established record of success in operational improvement and developing finance teams. Strong leader and team player able to set and achieve high standards.

MRC Foundation is the charitable arm of the Melbourne Racing Club housing the company’s charitable and community work under one brand.
