FAVOURITE QUOTE
"Leaders must either invest a reasonable amount of time attending to fears and feelings or squander an unreasonable amount of time trying to manage ineffective and unproductive behaviour"
~ Brene Brown
Why do you want to be a Group Chair?
Becoming a CEO (or C-suite executive) is the most stretching and profound leadership shift we take in our careers. Many of the accountabilities are not things our previous roles are able to prepare us for. For example, being the voice of the organisation, the culture setter, the bridge between the board and the organisation, and choosing our leadership legacy for our season (because we certainly won't be able to do everything we want). So often we are given the keys without any instructions on how to drive the car! By being a Chair, I get the joy of helping the Mentor List member community navigate and learn from their peers and others who have gone before so they have many more opportunities to do it better, get support, find courage and community when it's most needed. Its exciting to see our members flourish as they access the potential of their people, their organisation, and their own leadership.
