Kate Crous is the Executive General Manager of Everyday Banking for the Commonwealth Bank, Australia’s largest bank and leading provider of integrated financial services.
The Everyday Banking business is part of the Retail Banking Services arm of the Commonwealth Bank which serves over 9 million retail customers with personal transactions, savings, retail foreign exchange, CommBank Rewards and retail payment solutions. In Kate’s role as EGM Everyday Banking she is responsible for strategic direction and day-to-day P&L management of the bank’s transaction accounts, forex, retail payments and deposit products, as well as the portfolio of investments within the Everyday Banking business. Additionally Kate is responsible for the evolving Shopping ecosystem and associated investments, Open Banking and the Consumer Data Right for the Group and Digital Identity.
Prior to Everyday Banking, Kate spent 3 years in Digital, running digital strategy and operations and the digital banking business and 6 years in CBA’s product teams working across deposits, transactions and mortgages products. Kate joined CBA from Westpac in Australia and has previously worked for leading financial institutions: Capital One, GE Money and First National Bank in the United States, UK and South Africa.
